Torque Converters

Sewart Supply's heavy-duty torque converters are immediately available in the 1100, 1300 and 1500 series with the three stage torque converters available in 10,000, 11,500, 13,800 and 16,000 series.

Sewart Supply's Twin Disc type four hydraulic torque converters are especially designed for the oil and gas industries. Special features on the type four include prime mover power utilization, high runout speeds, ability to dump for disconnect, output shaft governor control, direct or independent mounting, self-contained modular system, and a design to accommodate normal rpm oilfield engines and motors.

Design features include boom-lowering freewheel, remote mounted oil filter, output reduction gear, governor drive, front end cut-off clutch, and rubber block drive.

Each series has interchangeable impellers that vary with respect to number and pitch so that each has a different torque absorption capacity.  The design feature provides a two-to-one horsepower spread for each series.

In addition to the Twin Disc three stage, hydraulic torque converter, Sewart offers a large inventory of type eight single-stage, type six single-stage, sumpless single-stage with power take-off drives and stripped single stage.
